What was the highlight of Royal Solaris Cancun - All Inclusive

It's a basic all-inclusive family hotel, comfortable, clean, no luxuries, great food and facilities

The room is comfortable, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is well-equipped. The food in the restaurant is very good, with plenty of options. The bartenders' service is very good, as is the pool and kids' club staff. The facilities in general are very well maintained, as is the beach. The evening shows are of very good quality and are highly recommended. There was a bartender at the pool bar named Pucul, my compliments on his attitude and service—very good. As was Azucena at the Kids Club, excellent customer service from both of them.

Our room had an ocean view, but we were surprised to find that the window didn't open. A few years ago, we stayed at the same hotel, and the windows opened, allowing us to experience the ocean's climate. Now, since the windows can't be opened, they condensate on the outside, so the ocean view isn't entirely clear, and the experience from the room isn't the same. In addition to the quietness of the room, the noise from the hallway can be heard in the room. People walking, talking, other room doors closing, room service carts, etc. At main restaurant waiters' service needs improvement. The alcohol drinks aren't great, as the liquor in the drinks seems to be of low quality.

Smaller, older resort, but enjoyed our stay. Don't think we would return to this resort though.

friendly staff - especially wait staff at buffet. Shout out to Angel for his hard work and dedication to please everyone. Pool activities.

They moved us to GR Solaris because Royal Solaris was full. It was a great hotel with beautiful pools and delicious food. We could use the pools at both hotels and that was great.

Good hotel with stunning views

The hotel was nice and the staff were friendly. Quite a few food options in terms of the restaurants available on premises and in their sister hotel next door. Being right on the beach was amazing too! The rooms were a good size and we had a nice view from the balcony.

The hotel could do with a bit of maintenance, especially downstairs in the bar area. Getting availability at some of the restaurants for dinner was quite difficult too, you need to book as soon as you get there to secure bookings. The hotel is on the airport side of the hotel strip, so if you want to go anywhere such as the shopping centre or to downtown Cancun you need to get a taxi or a bus.

The volume of noise at the pool was at an unhealthy level.

The staff was always excellent.

The buffet was boring and only fair. The noise at the pool exceeded health decibels for noise.

The activities throughout the day. The staff was so nice and helpful.

The food in La Terraza wasn’t great. I reserved the Deluxe room thinking I was going to get a good view just like in the room detail photos & it turned out to be so basic.

Very Good

Really nice room and fun activities to do. Drinks were nice and staff was super friendly. Loved the breakfast and diner.

The shower and sink were clogged and was draining so slowly it was gross. People would leave their towels on the beach chairs and not be there so there was literally never space even though they were not there. The lunch outside was very repetitive and not a lot of variety.

Great vacation with my husband. Great service and good food. We will most likely be back.

Friendly service, concierge showed us around when we got there and this was so helpful. Plus concierges were there to help answer questions anytime. We had a wonderful server each morning, Nubia. She knew exactly what we wanted after the first morning. She was off one day and made sure we were taken care of by her co-worker, Edgar. This got each day off to a great start. She would be one of the reasons we return. Loved all of the activities around the pool and all of the shaded areas. The entertainment at night was family friendly and we loved the light show the best! The Latin dancers were very good as well.

The beach chairs are very uncomfortable. We couldn’t get into the restaurants in the building we were staying in. We were able to get reservations at the Bogavante and Veneto where received great service and food! We wished that there was a coffee bar in the lounge area. We are not alcoholic drinkers but we love coffee. We did get non-alcohol drinks and they were good. They just need to blend the ice better in the strawberry daiquiri and pina colada drinks. Also, the young man who does the entertainment at the pool should do better about getting everyone involved. The young lady was the only one who went around inviting people to kayak and sailing or to play a guessing game.

I was disappointed with the my short stay. My showers in my didn't drain correctly. There no water in my room. The cleaning of the room was good. The bed was uncomfortable to me. I couldn't make reservations to any of the other restaurants provide because they was always booked. The regular food and drinks provided was ok. I was taught there would be more night entertainment for the adults. There should be plastic disposable cups and straws used. Overall score 7

I cant go again primarily because of that nasty spanish dancing in the theater.

All meals and restaurants were great. The pools were nice as well. And good beach chairs.

Too much sand. You sink really quick and fast. The "theater" where nearly naked men and women danced to songs in spanish with lyrics about banging each other was horrible. All floors were slippery almost always. The room we stayed in had the bed situated right under the AC vent. So when the AC was on we froze. When it was off, we burned up. The hair dryers in all the rooms we visited didnt work. A couple of the USB outlets were dead also.

Lots of room for improvement

Entertainment. Kids enjoyed the silent party and dance show. Beach was just steps away. Clean rooms. Linked to two other hotels that you could walk to and dine. Loved dining at the Marco Polo.

Self slamming doors that made noise all day and night when people left their rooms. I didn't have a good night sleep until I got ear plugs. The pool was an inconvenience as it didn't have natural stairs leading in and out. There were concrete lounge chairs in the pool that were dangerous and blocked you from properly entering certain areas of pool. Just a poor design and difficult for elderly to navigate. Lack of communication from front staff. Didn't explain that it was linked to two other hotels where we could dine as well.
